Canyon Meadows, I am so happy I decided to wander over that bridge last week.
So, we headed out just before noon and crossed over the walkway at Anderson. Luckily the monsoon rains of this morning had tapered off to the point where we didn't really need our jackets anymore. We turned right at the school and then, when we got to Elbow - instead of turning around for an out and back - we decided to just keep going to Southland then east to the office. We even managed some speedwork as we raced to get across Anderson before the light changed. In the end, it worked out to almost exactly 5k.
Somehow, we even managed a negative split on a continuous 5k!
We liked it so much, I think we'll do it again tomorrow!
On a side note - I hope everyone affected by the flooding today is safe and doing well. Good luck to you all! It really was a crapload of rain to fall on us in such a short time.
