Based in Tokyo, the half British-half Japanese indie folk outfit The Watanabes release a new EP on September 29. The five track 'Draw What You Like' will be available on CD in Japan, and digitally worldwide. The lead track 'There's Something Wrong' provides a generous helping of utterly glorious, melody packed indie pop that will capture your heart in an instant. There are strong echoes of the 90s here, a sound and style that's not unlike some sort of Boo Radleys/Astrid/Teenage Fanclub hybrid. Elsewhere on the EP we get the breezy, brassy bounce of '28 Years', the acoustic, cello-embellished 'Yuriko Yuriko', the mellow mysteries of the sumptuous closing highlight 'Drench You In Sun', and the lovely Dodgy-esque torch song 'Make Things Better'.
