[blog][facebook][twitter][goodreads] Interview What do you do when you aren’t writing?
I love to read so that is what I spend a little bit of my free time doing.I also love spending time with my family.I’m an easy going girl.
Do you have a day job? My illness makes it hard for me to work so writing is my day job. I really love it and hope to earn big money from it! lol
How did you choose your genre?
I actually have not chosen a set genre I want to write. My first books are an urban fantasy but I plan to write horror and contemporary.
Where do you get your ideas? They come from all over. Sometimes I’ll be watching a movie and come up with plot idea or just lying in bed trying to sleep. Which can be very annoying but they come from all over.
What is your favorite writer’s block cure? A day or two off reading a great book usually gets me back in the mood for writing.I don’t get writer’s block often, sometimes I just find myself needinga breakfrom writing.
Do you use an outline or just go with the flow? No, I never use an outline. I let the characters develop themselves. As soon as I start to outline my creativity flies out the window.
If you had to start your writing career over, would you change anything?
I would not focus so much on be published. It is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’d stick to my love of self-publishing.
How do you market your work? What have you found works best? I market my work through blog tours, blog appearances and special promotions. I love blog tours because I get to come in contact with so many new readers. It is really fun to do!
What project are you working on now?
I’m currently working on getting my first ghost novella Good Ghost Gone Bad ready for release. It’s much more mature and gritty. I think it is my best work yet and I can’t wait to release it! Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and supporting my work. Without you my work means nothing!
What’s your favorite book?
The Help. I could not stop thinking about that book after I read it. It was so good and made me want to speak up and take more action promoting my civil beliefs. It’s such an enriching story I think everyone should read! Where do you write most?
I’m supposed to say my desk but really the bedroom and the couch are where I usually find myself.
What are you necessary writing tools?
Coffee or the healths drink Zip-Fizz, anything that produces longevity for me. lol
Thanks for stopping by Janiera! It was great to have you here!
And thennn...
Have you read Soul Sisters yet? I haven't had a chance to but it's definitely on my TBR pile! I don't think I've read anything quite like this before so I'm intrigued to broaden my horizons. What do you guys think?
