Toshiba’s New ‘Excite’ Tablets Comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Toshiba has unveiled another new set of Excite tablets, hoping to get back in tablet war. After struggling in the market with the Excite lineup in 2012, Toshiba is now planning to get back on the horse by adding these three new 10-inch tabs to the lineup, The Excite Pure, Excite Pro, and Excite Write.

Looks like Toshiba has a lot of faith in 10-inch tabs as they’ve made all these tabs in the same size. However they also have the power of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes with their own different specialties.

Toshiba Excite Pure

This tab targets mid-range users and comes with a Tegra 3 chip, 16GB internal storage and with a screen resolution at 1280 x 800. It’s the cheapest tab among the trio costing only $299.

Toshiba Excite Pro

Just like the name suggests, it’s for the pro users. The specs includes a Tegra 4 CPU, 32GB internal storage, 2560 x 1600 screen resolution plus Gorilla Glass 2 protection and Harman Kardon stereo speakers with enhanced sounds. Although, the $499 price tag seems a big too much.

Toshiba Excite Write

This tab is pretty much the same as Excite Pro. Only specialty in this is the ability to use a stylus and its’ pre-loaded note-taking apps like TruNote and TruCapture. It’s probably a good choice for business users. Excite Write will head out for a steep price at $599.

These tabs will hit the market in June 25th.
