Spring 2014 Bridal Market left as quickly as it came, but we are pleased to announce it left behind some fabulous new bridal trends! We could easily spend weeks going over all the fabulous looks that swept the runway, but long story short—this season literally offers a plethora of fabulous frocks for any style! Here are our top 5 favorites sure to make an impact!
1. Dramatic Backs: It’s well known that for a large part of your ceremony, you will have your back facing your guests, so give them something spectacular to look upon! This year featured an array of open backs covered in sheer tulle with crystal and lace applique and button details. Here is a show stunner from Ines De Santo
2. Lace, Lace and more Lace! Of course Lace is no new revelation to the bridal world, but designers are mixing things up by using lace appliques to create a fun and fresh look to the delicate fabric. While this was a favorite among most designers, Monique Lhuillier and Oscar De La Renta took the lace-covered cake! Featured above: Monique Lhuillier
3. Show some leg! Short dresses were seen at almost every show and its easy to see why! Dresses varied in length with everything to tea, mini and everything in between! Perfect for the bride who is looking for something lightweight and flirty! Featured above: Monique Lhuillier
4. Accessories make quite an impact this year, winning over our last two spots. Cozy Caplets and wraps were spotted on quite a few shoulders adding a touch of glamour and warmth to every bridal ensemble! Monique Lhuillier created this final touch in a number of lengths and fabrics, including lace, silk and fur!
5. Statement Veil: Perfect for the Great Gatsby bride! These flapper-inspired veils created by Reem Acra, featured an array of romantic embellishments including pearls, lace and sparkling crystals which were featured on chapel and cathedral length veils. Absolutely love!
