Top Teams Flex Their Racing Muscles Ahead of World Champs

By Rob Howard @adventurenet
With 4 months to go to the AR World Championships in Costa Rica some of the top teams around the world are competing on home soil as part of their preparation - and confirming their top-dog status.
Team Haglofs-Silva have just completed a double at the The Swedish AR Championships in Helag withBjörn Rydvall and Robert Lindberg finishing first, and only 45 minutes later taking the mixed team with Mattias Nyström and Josefina Wikberg taking the win.

In the USA the top teams are at the Cameco Cowboy Tough race in a windy and hot Wyoming, and although the race is just drawing to a close the expected teams are at the front, Tecnu Adventure Racing and Gearjunkie/Yogaslackers. (Unconfirmed news has Tecnu clearing the course and well ahead.)

Then next week it is the Aveyron Adventure Race, which I'll be sending reports from, and this will feature all of the top French teams, including Raidlight, Issay Aventure, Lafuma and Quechua. They will be up against a strong Spanish entry and top Czech team OpvaNet/Adidas/ELVAC, so it should be a really competitive race. Be sure to follow the coverage on SleepMonsters.
