After going through my wardrobe all I seem to own are little pumps and I've got a severe lack in sandals... what about you?
I've decided to create a top pick of sandals I've spotted that are perfect for casual summer days and elegant evenings.
1. Mango Preppy Strap Sandals - £14.99
These are a great subtle statement, that with their aqua color are perfect for summer time. The best part for me is that this shade makes tanned skin really illuminate.
2. Monsoon Ethnic Bead Sandals - £22.00
Any footwear that has vibrant bead work is your best friend on a sunny day. Teamed with a black jersey dress and tanned belt these are best friends. The colours will make any plain outfit really stand out.
3. Mulberry Jelly Bow T-Bar Raspberry Sandals - £135.00
A huge fan of these jelly sandals. Jelly shoes are a bit like marmite, you either love or loathe them and for me even though the jelly shoes are not on my shopping list, jelly sandals are. This rich raspberry color is fun and bright - exactly what summer is all about.
4. Accessorize Midnight Butterfly Sandals - £39.00
Another top pick from Monsoon/Accessorize but being honest to me Accessorize screams summer to me. These embellished sandals with embroidered detail, really set themselves apart from others on the hightstreet. Perfect for holiday dinner or maybe even a cheeky cocktail!
5. Juicy Couture Alaina Jewel Thong Sandal - $104.99
Quite an exotic but elegant vibe from the strappy flats. Beautifully embellished which isn't over the top making them ideal for casual wear or for dressing up. They'd work fabulously with dresses or with jeans.
6. Topshop Happy Closed Strippy Sandals - £28.00
You can't ever really go wrong with Topshop! This season they've produced an eclectic range but always have a classic offering to their collection. These to me are the perfect pair of flats for floral summer dresses but equally so be the great partner at a festival.
7. Ted Baker Seliqeed Red Sandals - £40.00
The king of jelly shoes has their classic strappy sandal in a gorgeous red color. Playful, cute and super for summer! Teamed with vibrant nail polish and you're a sure winner of a foot statement that's sure of envy.
These are awesome with your jeans and a vest top as they spruce up the entire outfit.
8. See by Chloe Fluro/Tan Sandals - £203.00
I will forever love having a pair of tan sandals in my wardrobe but throwing in some neon? I'd of usually turned my nose up. These sandals from Chloe really pull in this seasons trend of fluorescent colours but combining it with something that is classic. These immediately said to me, festival or party... maybe the full moon party in Thailand?
9. AllSaints Glass Sandal - £120.00
AllSaints to be doesn't exactly encourage summer in any of it's spring/summer collections. I love the designs and from the classics to the daring but every summer I find it hard to be enthused. Whilst on my sandal hunt I became in ore of these edgy sandals. They're classic in their color and even though they're not luminous or exaggerated, they are quite classic and will go with pretty much any outfit.
10. Emilio Pucci Pucci Logo Rubber Flip Flops - $72.00
You can't really ever do a summer holiday without rubber flip flops, but when Havianas don't cut the mustard anymore... where do you go? Designer that's where. These are adorable rubber flip flops by Emilio Pucci, the designer behind the glorious oversized sunnies and equally chic swimwear, so throw in your flip flops and you're ready for the beach.
11. Bisue Ballerina Sandals - £115.00
I do like anything dainty and feminine so these sandals by Bisue were a perfect addition to the top picks. A European brand that can be found on Brand Alley for a fraction of the asking price - who can resist a bargain for quality yet fashionable footwear?
12. Steve Madden Daisey - $49.95
Leather thong sandals which tie up as that back. You can never go wrong with black or with a thong sandal. This is footwear that doesn't scream look at me, but it creates the opportunity to elaborate with your garments. Wear with a wide brimmed hat and maybe a embellished kaftan and ta-da the perfect sunny combo.
How has your footwear been so far this season? Are you running with the season trend of fluorescent flashes? Or are you remaining classic?
