This is our selection of the top 5 WTF moments of episode 5.06 – Hopeless.
What were your best WTF moments? Post about it in the comments.
In order of appearance:
Terry alive?
The Ifrit, a black curse, is on the move and set to destroy a platoon of soldiers and their loved ones. Terry and Patrick, the last of the Platoon, are next in line to be terminated and Terry decides to leave Arlene and the kids in order to keep them safe from his horrible fate.
I find Terry’s story filled with WTF moments and in my opinion seeing that he is alive and not burned was a surprise there was no battling the black ball of smoke? No suffocation or smoke over eyes? The scene went straight to day light and him falling out of the car running into the swamp fields? WTF? I am having a hard time staying on track with this story but where there are questions there are always answers Alan Ball is that cool minded you have to keep the faith! The Ifrit has an Achilles heel and hopefully Terry can work it out while is in solitude because seeing Arlene and him apart is driving me nuts!
LaLa to the Rescue?
Plagued with a demon and searching for help Lafayette visits his mother after she reportedly had a seizure. A seizure that saw the fate of Jesus’s mouth being sewen shut. Armed with the knowledge that Jesus’s Uncle is entangled somehow in the current state of Jesus, Lafayette is bon voyaged by his mother to rescue his spirited lover.
I had a WTF moment that Jesus’s mouth could have been possibly sewn shut by his uncle why? and now Lafayette has to rescue him? WTF? I really hope Lafayette is ready for this because it is about to get crazy up in here with that anger-triggered Demon.
Hopeless Hoyt
Taking a new lease on life Hoyt Fortenberry cruises the nightlife offering his human blood to all Vampires.
Usually we see a certain cousin of Lafayette’s down in the dumps every season but now Hoyt is at his lowest and I could not help but scream WTF when he allowed a male Vamp to suck on his neck and not care that his heart beat was fading. Thankfully Hoyt was saved by renegade Vamp killers. I have a feeling this incident will be the rebirth of a new improved Hoyt set to seek vengeance but who will he aim his bullets at? We will have to tune in for the next exciting episode.
Fairy Bolt
Sookie approaches Claude for answers about her parents fate only to discover that there is a strong possibility they were killed by the vary creatures that she knows and has fell in love with, Vampires. The share shock of this found knowledge that her blood could have brought about her beloved parent’s death throws Sookie into Fairy defense mode and out booms a fairy bolt? Or fizzle?
The story of the Fae will continue to surprise me it is about as flexible as its stage dancers with a backstory that could be ventured into at some stage. It was the five- way fairy bolt that struck me, WTF are they doing to Sookie now? She is family and why would they all team up on her…her bolt fizzled it didn’t even work. I cannot wait to see how this scene is explained next week!
A staked swoosh
Prepared to execute Russell Edgington by the push of a button the malfunction of the iStake technology unleashes a powerful Vampire in bloodied pajamas. The Guardian is staked and Russell is more powerful than ever…recovering…reborn and set to exterminate all those in his way.
WTF! Who the hell did this? Someone did not do what they were told and now Vampire Russell Edgington is on the loose seeking retribution. One word for the next episode, anarchy mixed with chaos, a lot of blood and Russell with the muscle. Whoops! There was more than one word in that sentence…and I have a feeling it will take more than one supernatural entity to defeat this very old and very powerful Vampire.
