As 2012 nears its close, I thought it would be a good time to look back on the year from TechDrink’s perspective. It is, after all, our first year in ‘business’, as it were, and as the holiday season really kicks in there’s not likely to be much coverage until 2013.
With that in mind, here’s our top five posts from 2012, as voted for by you (via your visits).
5. TechDrink’s Top 5 Facebook Cover Photos (988 views to date)
When Facebook introduced Timeline and thus cover photos we went looking for the most innovative use of them we could find. At the time the likes of Fanta, Captain Morgan and Manchester United were amongst the best, with my own company, Fluid Creativity, doing a pretty good job too. No doubt there are even better examples of cover photo use out there now. Why not let us know about them in the comments?
4. Tech City Success Story Plumbee Announces 8 Figure Revenues After Just 6 Months (1,027 views to date)
A relatively recent story that focused on a UK tech success, which is something we’d like to do a lot more of in 2013. Plumbee is a social casino game start up making a big splash from Tech City. And they’ve just announced a tie up with Sportingbet to form a joint venture called Bonza Gaming. They go from strength to strength it seems.
3. On Pinterest? Congratulations, you’ve just given them permission to SELL your pictures… (3,441 views to date)
2. FujiFilm FinePix JX520 Digital Camera – Just Fine For Beginners [REVIEW] (4,362 views to date)
1. Apple Quietly And Cleverly Acknowledges UK Court Samsung Ruling (6,829 views to date)
Our most popular post by FAR this year just had to involve Apple, didn’t it. In this case, when a court ruled that Apple had to issue an apology to Samsung over a failed lawsuit the Cupertino company did so in what, to this Apple fanboy, was a very amusing manner. As it turned out the court was less amused and Apple had to revise their apology, but still, what a great story!
The TechDrink team looks forward to bringing you more and more of what we like to think is our unique reporting style in 2013 – and if you want to get involved, please do get in touch. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
