Top 10 Craft and DIY Blogs

By Goedekershomelife @goedekers

With March being Craft Month, it only seems fitting that we feature some of our favorite blogs for all things crafting and DIY. These blogs are colorful and creative, and their writers are helpful, genuine, and passionate about what they do. From party favors and children’s activities to clothes and accessories, these blogs have a little something for everyone!

A Beautiful Mess – www.abeautifulmess.com

Sisters Emma and Elsie, along with the rest of their blogging crew, are constantly posting gorgeous projects for home décor, artwork, and accessories. Sprinkled throughout are personal stories, reflections on life, and some tasty recipes you could try.

Grey Luster Girl – greylustergirl.com

Lisa is all about refashioning clothes, and she has tons of projects for moms and kids alike, including an adorable Elsa outfit from the movie Frozen. Aside from clothing, she has plenty of ideas for holiday decorations, party favors, and children’s activities. Every now and then, place settings and home décor DIYS make an appearance as well.

You Are My Fave – www.youaremyfave.com

To Melanie, everything is her fave. Her blog is a hub of positivity and excitement. Along with crafts and kids’ party ideas, she also features a roundup of her faves from around the web every Friday. Personally, I am a huge fan of the “Hello Spring” banner DIY she recently posted.

Sarah Hearts – sarahhearts.com

Next, a blog by a fellow Sarah – and I promise I’m not biased just because we have the same name! For one thing, she is one of very few bloggers I’ve seen who record videos alongside their DIY tutorials. She also posts suggestions for color palettes, pretty printables, and even some snapshots of interior design from her own home.

Damask Love – www.damasklove.com

The tagline “Craft is in session” is a clever play-on-words that is actually very fitting for this blog. Amber’s craft projects are some of the most easy to follow and clearly illustrated that I’ve ever come across. Each post lists the skill level necessary, an estimation of how long it takes to make, the wait time afterward, and any special skills required. She includes a picture of all the materials needed, and each numbered photo corresponds with a step in the process.

Lovely Indeed – lovelyindeed.com

This blog is an absolute treat. Chelsea primarily posts DIYs for clothes, accessories, artwork, and decorations. Many of her DIYs, such as this gold leaf manicure, are perfect for a bit of pampering. And, of course, there is a smattering of personal posts, as well as a series about various aspects of married life.

Design Improvised – www.designimprovised.com

Haeley’s specialty, without a doubt, is party decorations, gift ideas, and holiday-themed projects. However, she also dabbles in organization and storage, interior design, and even home goods, such as homemade bath salts and potpourri. All of her DIYs aim to make a big impact, while still being inexpensive and simple to complete.

Make It & Love It – www.makeit-loveit.com

Ashley has plenty of DIYs for children’s clothing and Halloween costumes, many of which are modeled by her own kids. She too features clothing from Frozen, this time Elsa’s cape – seems a lot of people are smitten with that movie! Also expect to find activities, accessories, artwork, and practical home décor DIYs like this hanging jewelry holder.

Handmade Charlotte – www.handmadecharlotte.com

The woman who started this blog is actually named Rachel. She, along with her team of writers and contributors, collaborate to make Handmade Charlotte. It is the blog to visit if you want super cute crafts to make with your kids or for your kids. But there are a few things mixed in for moms too, such as a felt iPad sleeve or eye-catching DIY wall hangings.

A Ruffled Life – www.aruffledlife.com

Alix’s blog is fresh and whimsical, full of flowers and splashes of pink and gold. The bulk of her posts tackle interior design, decorations, and everything to do with throwing a lovely party. However, what I really like is how much of her personality is infused in her writing. She is very transparent in her posts, and this honesty is often amusing and always refreshing.
