Tomboy Chic

By Tryitonme @tryitonme

People may be surprised to know that once upon a time I was a true-blue tomboy. I spent the better part of my childhood consumed by softball, wearing a uniform consisting mainly of t-shirts and high tops. I broke my parent's hearts the day I quit softball and took up gabbing on the phone and fawning over boy bands as a new pastime. A dash of tomboy still remains today, as I love sports and am especially well versed in football. Something unavoidable (or self preservation maybe), when you grow up with a father and two brothers who live for sports (one who plays professional baseball), and come home each day to someone who works in the football world.
I'm not hanging up my high heels anytime soon, but I do plan on embracing the heck out of my inner tomboy with this season's most comfortable and surprising trends: Dressed-up sweatshirts and stylish sneakers. Get comfy and scroll through then click to shop some of my current favorites below.

Styling Tip: It's a no brainier that a sweatshirt and gym shoes play nicely with denim, but why not bat for the fences? I plan on pairing my sweatshirt with faux leather leggings, and glam gym shoes with a flared skirt and slouchy sweater.
