Verdict on Tom Cruise: The Last Movie Star
Tom Cruise: The Last Movie Star is a biographical documentary exploring the career of Tom Cruise. It gets to take us from his early roles in the early 1980s, right up to the success of Top Gun Maverick. We get to follow the ups and downs of his career, both on and off the screen.
This is an interesting look at one of the biggest movie stars of all-time career. We get to touch on most of his major roles, proving how he took risks both with projects on involved in stunts. However, this doesn’t seem to offer much more than the surface-level explorations of his career.
It would have been nice to dive into more of a personal series of accounts around the movies. Exploring more of the moments that defined his career, instead of just explaining how people feel about his work. If you want to see a story through his career this is an interesting documentary.
