Today's Reading: A Psalm of Comfort

Psalm 27 is one of my most favorite psalms.  When I was 19 years old and living in my own apartment in Decatur,Georgia, I was scared out of my mind.  This Psalm gave me peace many a nights.  It actually lulled me to sleep.  Even now, this is my 'go to' Psalms whenever I'm in need of reassurance of God's divine protection.  Meditate on this today and be blessed by God's word:

The Lord is my light and my salvation--so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?  When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.  Though a might army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid.
