To the People – 3

Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not My wife, neither am I her husband. And let her put away her harlotries from her face and her adulteries from her breasts (Hos 2:4).

Those who profess to love Him, do not love Him. They love Him only with their lips as their hearts are very far away. Under a ceaseless variety of rationalizations, they do not tender Him with care, for love – true love – is missing from their hearts, minds and souls.

They profess verbally and explicitly to all that He should be primary in everyone’s lives: that all on earth should love Him with the entirety of their beings. But they themselves resort to loving Him only in a secondary or tertiary manner and excuse themselves in the process. Only the sudden light of the Spirit of Truth, granted to all the nations in the valley of Jehoshaphat (Jl 4:1-2), will enable the people to see with the eyes of their souls once again, by being given the unparalleled grace of perceiving how deep is the fog of darkness and deception within themselves. Anything less will not suffice.
