To all my readers out there who loved Beyonce’s video for “Run The World (Girls),” here’s a new song by the producer, Diplo. Not exactly the same aesthetic, but let’s just say that I’m bent over shaking my ass as I’m writing this, that’s how inspired I feel.
Diplo is pretty cool. I found out about him because Caleb is an NPR whore, and they did a spot on him yesterday. He showed me “Express Yourself” last night, and then we spent a while watching Mexican “Tribal” videos. Diplo predicts the style will be the next big thing, and I have to say, I fucking love it. Watch this video to get an idea of what it is, but stay with it until the dudes in the curved cowboy boots appear. Shit gets all Matthew Barney weird.
I hope Beyonce has dancers wearing these boots in her next video.
