TL Beauty Story: How Much Is My Face Worth?

By Twynkleloves @TwynkleLoves

Happy Wednesday Lovelies. So I'm excited to do my first ever blogger tag called 'How Much Is My Face Worth?' and it's simply a review on some select beauty products and their prices. I'll start off my saying all the items I've reviewed below are from LookFantastic (which is under The Hut Group brand hence the packaging in the photo below) and they cost a little over £50 in total and that was before I used my discount code from Savoo, which was an excellent help. The pic above was my final look which I call effortless, natural-esque and sun-kissed but below I detail each product and its best and worst features as well as how I found applying them. Enjoy! TL. The first product I picked was the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99), as I'm always looking for ways for a better, more smoother foundation application and I've seen some reviews online and on youtube about these sponges. At first I wasn't blown away when using it to apply my foundation but I absolutely adore it as a blending tool for my concealer and contouring.

Next up was the Benefit They're Real! Push Up Liner (£18.50). To be honest, I thought the price (without the discount) was a bit steep but I do love Benefit products as much as I love my mandatory winged eye line so I thought I'd give it a try. I was totally excited to try the liner because I was expecting it to make my liner life so much easier but it is definitely not the product to use if you are in a make up rush in the mornings. Although it gives great definition to the winged end, I found it difficult using the tip to create a thin line for the rest of the eye without the liner constantly breaking off. Apart from that I love how deep the black is and once its on, it stays on just as well or even better than my usual liquid liner.
After that, I applied the Bourjois Smokey Eyes Trio in Nude Ingenu (£7.99) to the crease and the corners. I already had the Gris Dandy set which is the black/grey palette but I wanted a more everyday natural glow palette. The colours are not highly pigmented so its not as evident as the darker colours but they work perfectly for me and the look I was going for with the subtle shimmers.

I then finished off my look with the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Honey No Colour Honey (£15.00). I initially chose this lipstick because of the gorgeous gold casing and not the price as I normally don't spend more than £7 on my lipsticks, but then it was the fact that I don't really have much prominent nudes in my lipstick collection and boy is this nude prominent. I had to tone it down with a brown lipliner but I love the color and tone and considering I normally lean towards red and pink shades, I've embraced this bold nude.

In this post and currently on my nails, I'm wearing Maybelline New York Color Show Nail Lacquer in color '110R Coral Reefs'. This was my bargain pick of the bunch at £2.99. Again I wanted my nails to complement my neutral color pallette, which I can say it did perfectly. It's so easy to apply and it drys super fast which I love.
The majority of the products were decently priced but I still love a good saving which savoo gives with the best discount codes. There's even a lookfantastic page on the Savoo site for you to purchase all the products I used above and more at a reduction. Get all the discount codes you need there because beauty should also be pretty in price too.
