‘Tis the Season to Treat Oneself

By Clo Hutch @lashesoflife

I love a good dessert. From heart warming apple crumble with custard to a creamy cheesecake with coulis or even a guilt free frozen yoghurt there’s something about having a sweet treat every now and again which I really look forward to!

With the festive period a renowned time for treating oneself and for celebration, what better way than to combine the two with some fab pudding cocktails!

Here’s some of the awesome cocktails London has to offer this festive season. I know I’ll be slowly working my way through these this December! With these you really can have your drink and eat it too!

1. The Netflix and Chill at the Jam Tree – A blockbuster combination of vanilla vodka, butterscotch liqueur, caramel and lemon. Served in a large popcorn cup.

Part of a new mouth-watering winter menu of desert based cocktails, which also includes the ‘Apple Crumble’ (yeah you heard right) this fab looking cocktail is served with a crunchy topping of popcorn:

2. The Gingerbread Colada at Barrio Soho – Santa Teresa Gran Reserva Rum with pineapple and coconut, garnished with a gingerbread man.

Barrio Soho also has a new cocktail menu which is based on much loved classics, all of which have been given a fun Barrio twist. This festive twist on the Piña Colada looks super tasty:

3. The Tarte Tatin at Cuisson – Calvados, green apple, caramel, pink apple puree and shortbread crumble. Cuisson, the bespoke dining company, have combined all the tastes of a homemade apple dessert I. This cocktail and is served with a spoonful of soft crumble to soak up the sweet flavourings:  4. The Chocolate Flip at The Cocktail Trading Company Smithfield – Bacardi 8 year rum, cacao-infused Chartreuse, tawny port, pistachio ice cream. The boys over at The Cocktail Trading Company Smithfield are said to be pro’s in whipping up tasty cocktails with edible garnishes. Their indulgent ‘Chocolate Flip’ is served with a melt in the mouth chocolate truffle and crisp biscuit wafer:

What do you think? What’s on your treat list for this festive season?
