By Eleni Balkouli @Love4Wed

With their destination wedding in Greece bing nothing short of timeless elegance, Sophie and Rami’s wedding as you will see through the gorgeous images captured flawlessly by George Pahountis, is a celebration you must see! With soft hue florals decorating their ceremony and their wonderful outdoor reception at Pyrgos Petreza, Sophie’s wedding was definitely a dream come true for her. As she mentioned to us: «We wanted our wedding to be classic, elegant and timeless so when we looked back on our photos they wouldn’t age. We also introduced key moments into our day that showcased our cultures coming together…». We are absolutely awe-struck with every detail and we are sure you will agree with too!

«We were both living and met in Dubai through friends back in April 2019. Rami proposed on the last night of our holiday in Santorini under a clock tower in a medieval village called Megaliochori.»

«We chose Pyrgos Petreza a vineyard in Athens for its organic beauty, nature and culinary experience. We chose to work with Kontogiannis Florist in Vouliagmeni who were absolutely amazing- I was in Dubai planning the flowers and decor. The team were so supportive and attentive and really understood the style and decor I was trying to achieve. We went for a soft color palette that was an extension of the natural garden of Pyrgos Petreza. I was also inspired by the opening scene of the movie ‘Father of the Bride’ the string lighting, crystal glasses and flowers. When I went down to view the garden whilst I was getting at the venue the whole set up exceeded my expectations thanks to all my suppliers that supported on the day.»

«Enjoy every moment of the wedding build up as you will feel a sense of emptiness once the planning is over! I didn’t work with a planner because I’m someone that likes to be in control and on top of everything. However on the day I really relaxed and didn’t stress anything! Our welcome event on the 6th sept got canceled 2 hours before because of a storm in Greece we moved it to the Friday 8th and threw a welcome party inside at the Margi. Don’t let anything ruin your day or mood capture every moment and be present with those you love!»

«I chose a Mila Nova Dress. It was simple and classic but the over skirt gave it a modern twist.»

«Our entrance into the dinner was definitely the most fun. This was an opportunity to celebrate Ramis culture. I entered down the stair of Pyrgos Petreza with him and a group of our male friends and family. I remember reaching the dance floor surrounded family and friends and feeling so happy. It was a really special moment!»
