Galleria Dallas kicked off their 5th annual Beauty Live weekend extravaganza with a fabulous soiree titled Pink'd, hosted by Pat & Emmitt Smith. Fabulous faces like Giselle Phelps, FOX 4's Latoya Silmon, DFW Style Daily's Lisa Petty, Cathy Veith and Cindy Davis from Big Rich Texas all turned out to support the cause. Now, it's hard to outshine Pat Smith, but Steve Kemble and Shane Walker both gave her a run for her money (as seen above)! Guests enjoyed pink cocktails, bites and great tunes provided by DJ Brandon Olds. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Treasure You, a nonprofit organization founded by Pat Smith, dedicated to supporting women in financial, emotional or spiritual needs. Funds raised for the organization go directly to women to pay emergency expenses, educational needs, and weekend retreat participation.
Holly Quartaro moderates a "celebrity" panel to talk about beauty tips and tricks and must-have's
The next morning, I found myself on-stage participating in a celebrity panel to chat about beauty tip and tricks and must-have products. The Galleria's Holly Quataro was the moderator and panelists included Pat Smith, D Magazine's Beauty Editor Raya Ramsey, Steve Kemble, LeeAnne Locken, make-up artist Joanna Hathcock and me. I learned that Pat swears by Mario Badescu's Drying Cream to stop pimples in their tracks and uses it with her teen and tween-aged kids. Raya can't live without a good sunscreen and loves Fresh Sugar Lip Balm. Steve says men need to pay attention to their faces as well and a great way to start is with a Shaving Kit from The Art of Shaving that includes Pre-Shave Oil Pump, Shaving Cream Pump, Genuine Badger Shaving Brush and After-Shave Balm Pump. Oh, there was so much more. I wish you had been there!
Special thanks to BCBG for styling me for both Friday and Saturday. They have the most amazing clothes for a gal who's on the go and dressing to impress. I hope you'll stop by their NorthPark or Galleria locations and check out the new Spring Collections! Photos provided by the Galleria.
