That does include the inflated ticket price for the A Night Before Our Stars event, which sold at $25 a pop, but it also still indicated the massive fan demand for this film. Edge Of Tomorrow opened to 1.8M, which isn’t mindblowing, but it isn’t a franchise film, and getting people to show up the night before it opens was always going to be hard for this film. I don’t think the lower end gross will factor into the weekend much. Tonight will be the real test for the Tom Cruise pic.
