Thursday Fashion Blog: Rosy Hues

By Simone Design Blog @HomeSpire

Mark your calendars: spring officially arrives March 20th! That means a lighter and brighter wardrobe. I’ve been paying attention to the fashion shows over the past few weeks and I’ve noticed a new color that seems to be trending. It’s a soft, romantic shade of pink, one that reminds me of light pink roses. Fashion designers have been providing many examples of how dazzling this color looks as part of a spring wardrobe. Light pink has been seen in fashion shows on coats, dresses, shoes and accessories. It can be used for a fashion statement or a classic look. To give you an idea of how fashion designers have made use of this color, I’ve assembled some pictures of light pink fashions that caught my eye. But first, let’s start with a picture of a bunch of light pink roses. They are just waiting to be an arrangement in a pretty vase! We’ll see if the fashions I show below are worthy of their beauty…

One of my favorite designers, Oscar de la Renta, created this gorgeous light pink gown. I love the gold overlay and belt!

Here’s another stunner by Oscar:

Roberto Cavalli went for the gradation light-pink colored look. The tassels on her purse are so feminine!

Here is Elie Saab’s fabulous gown. I’m totally loving that belt! This gown is very simple yet elegant and fluid.

Below is Antonio Berardi’s light pink outfit that’s a real fashion statement.

This Zac Posen dress is more understated and can be worn as a cocktail dress. It would look great on a guest at an afternoon wedding.

J. Mendel’s shorts ensemble is so blushingly beautiful!

Tory Burch’s dress goes for a cooler look and looks stunning with matching jewelry and the gold shoes.

Christian Dior, one of my favorite fragrance designers, has come out with a 2014 spring perfume. This is going to be added to my Dior fragrance collection.

Below is a ring by de Grisogono, one that’s sure to be a conversation piece.

Chanel has some light pink eye shadow:

Here is a rose colored bag by Kate Spade. I can definitely see myself going to meetings with this.

Alexandre Birman is responsible for this absolutely fabulous shoe.

That arrangement of light pink roses at the beginning of the post would look lovely in a clear vase surrounded with pearls, wouldn’t you agree?

I hope you enjoyed the mini fashion show and are inspired to update your wardrobe with a few light-pink-colored pieces. Personally, I can’t wait to get some of these pieces for myself!
