Throwback Thursdays: April 2021

Posted on the 29 April 2021 by Pricescope @pricescope

On Throwback Thursdays, we here at PriceScope celebrate the jewels of our past. Every day on the Show Me the Bling! forum, community members share their new bling for all of us to enjoy. We've accumulated over a decade worth of fabulous additions from our members. The community at PriceScope is like no other and it's awesome to get more chances to cheer for each other!

Throwback Thursday is posted each week on the PriceScope Facebook Page. On the last Thursday of the month, we will share them all in one post so that everyone can enjoy them!

It seems that we unintentionally focused on diamond engagement rings from 2009, which was apparently a great year for PriceScopers to get engaged.

Ztajanice shared this gorgeous custom engagement ring with us in 2009. She was inspired by her fellow PriceScopers sharing their James Meyers rings. She wanted, however, to have her ring made at her local jeweler, so that is exactly what they did. Getting a custom ring built inspired by the rings that were her favorites and adding some little twists of her own.

Cutehonesty shared this ring created with us in 2009. We loved the look of this ring and the round diamond is complemented by the side stones, which makes the center stone look larger than it is. Some spectacular pictures were posted that were a joy to look at. As ever, we hope that this engagement ring was just the beginning of a long and beautiful marriage. We hope that they are still finding a lot of beauty in all things, including this dazzler.

FancyDiamond shared this Whiteflash three-stone engagement ring with us in 2009, and we can't get enough of it. I love this ring and I love this post! FancyDiamond just poured out the love in this post, for all the people that played a part in the creation of this beauty and ultimately getting it home to FancyDiamond. The sparkle factor on this ring is incredible, the ACA Fireball in the center is magnificently complemented by the pear side stones. It's a big win and we hope it's still bringing smiles!

Love in Bloom originally shared this purple spinel and diamond right-hand ring with us in 2009. This color is mind blowing. We love diamonds but other gems have a place in our hearts too. The double prongs and side diamond details let the spinel be the focal point of the ring but definitely hold their own.

STATISTICS:

Purple Spinel cushion is 2.15 ct. Dimensions are 6.7 x 7.5 mm, and 5.3mm deep.

The setting is by Van Craeynest. The ring is style 483-4 in Platinum with a Fleur-de-lis (#4B) head. The shoulders are 3mm wide, tapering to 2.2mm at the bottom of the shank. The side stones are two 5 pointers and two 2.5 point diamonds (0.15 tcw).

PugLover shared this stunning diamond engagement ring with us in 2009. When they had this gorgeous ring created, they knew the setting that they wanted but swapped out the head. They created this special piece that garnered that YES! PugLover knew that we needed her to share that new bling with us, it's lovely! We hope that it's been bringing joy in all the intervening years.
