Diarios de motocicleta (The Motorcycle Diaries)

Are you familiar with Che Guevara? An Argentine movie on 2004 was detailing its true-to-life story.  Well, if you have not known him, he was actually a man who went on a long motorcycle trip across South America with close friend, Alberto Granado, in the early 1950s while taking a year off from medical school in Argentina.

The movie was played by Gael García Bernal, a Mexican actor. Guevara is the Cuban revolutionary whose image is well-recognized throughout Latin America.

Todo sobre mi madre (All About My Mother)

This is a story of a 40-year old single mother named Manuela to a teenager son. The boy never knew his father, and the story is all about a mother and son’s life is being affected with the father’s absence. Manuela tried to solve the conflict by leaving her home in Madrid and seek the Father.

The story was made by Pedro Almodóvar and it was indeed a masterpiece. Cecelia Roth played the role as Manuela, and it sure is a 1999-movie worth watching for.

Maria Full of Grace (María, llena eres de gracia)

A 2004 HBO movie was released its story revolves around a 7-year-old Colombian girl who becomes a drug mule, transporting drugs to the United States in her digestive system. It was filmed both in the US and Canada, so this sure is a wonderful movie to watch for.
