I know. You don’t have time for another blogger in your life, or you don’t think you do. I don’t care. I’m going to recommend three for you to try. Let me know what you think.
Dancing Dog Blog. Mary Haight is actively involved with animal welfare and animal rescue in Chicago. She also has become a widely recognized, highly respected advocate for dogs and other animals. Her blog calls attention to pet food recalls, laws and ordinances affecting dog owners, and bad public policy that works against dogs. Her blog entry on police shooting dogs was an eye-opener. If you care about animals, you’ll become a regular reader of this blog.
Faith, Fiction, Friends. Glynn Young is part corporate executive, part poet, part novelist, part man of faith. His blog explores questions of faith and the church, ethics, and the modern world of work. Check it out, and you also can learn more about his two novels, Dancing Priest and A Light Shining. Glynn is as close to a Renaissance man as anyone I know, and even better, he’s a fun read.
Ray Colon. Ray writes with honesty about the ups and downs of middle age. He opens up about being out of work, finding work that pays the bills but doesn’t satisfy the heart, and experiencing the joy and surprise of raising his daughters. He recently celebrated (observed?) his 53rd birthday; he makes you believe that despite the setbacks and frustrations we all face, life is a great ride.
Who are some of your favorite bloggers? Let me know.
