This Week

Greetings from Provence! I write this while my mom sleeps. I wonder if she'll ever wake knowing what she's been through in the last 4 days. She took the longest flight ever (LAX>Istanbul>CPH) to come visit me all before jumping on a plane to Nice. THEN, after a 3 hour drive through the Southern villages of France (top left photo), we arrived in our little apartment where we are staying for the weekend. Needless to say, I hope she sleeps all day! Our apartment is situated in the Luberon Valley and we are more than thrilled to be here. The colors! The building materials! The temperature! (I speak in exclamation marks far too much). It feels like a dream. I can't wait to write more about it for you.
This week has been quite eventful. Paul and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at a little restaurant located in the plaza of the bottom right photo. We had some friends from England come to visit us and we got to do some site seeing including the Little Mermaid (top right). Sunday we visited with Paul's adorable niece in her darling neighborhood with thatched roof houses (middle right). If you've been wondering how I transport my oversized paper flowers around without a car, let me tell you, it takes creativity. And lots of twine, (middle left). (Bottom left), having some fun with the French murals in our little town.
