Via MyFoxChicago: One man has died and 23 other people — including a 13-year-old boy — have been wounded since Friday evening in shootings on the South and West sides, according to Chicago Police.
The 13-year-old boy was wounded when two groups of people got into a “heated” argument at 8:27 p.m. Friday in the 5500 block of West Jackson in the West Side South Austin neighborhood, and a male pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said. The teen, who was standing down the street, was hit in the lower back by a stray bullet. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
In a span of about three hours overnight, seven people were injured in three separate shootings in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.
