Craving is a very dangerous word when you are trying to stay fit and healthy and shed those extra kilos of your body. The feeling to keep the favorite food at bay is the most difficult task. Small changes in the lifestyle and routine can impact our craving a lot in a good or bad way. Certainly we all can work on this and we have to avoid the things that make these cravings even worse.  We need to learn from these mistakes and make a better lifestyle that can keep the cravings under control.

  • Your serving is too big for your body and you probably need to cut it half. Scientist and researchers have found out that people who have given small serving of their favorite food feel more satiated compared to people with large servings. It is simple, that you intake less calories.
  • You skip your breakfast .Eating your breakfast gives you some calories that can keep you energized and keep the cravings at bay. A breakfast full of calories and proteins can keep the cravings under control compared to people who skipped their breakfast. One can include eggs, oatmeal, cottage cheese and many healthy ingredients in the breakfast.
  • Starving is certainly not the way to control cravings. Try eating some healthy snacks if you are hungry, so it is an advantage for you instead of piling up with salt and sweets. Cravings have a very short life and they can be eradicated if handled properly.
  • Most of the times people don’t even understand that they are craving something. Nutritionists often advise to keep a check at the behavior changes when the craving hit the brain. Physically tired, stressed, bored and anxious can be caused. Some common things may repeat when your body gets a craving signal.
  • You are not pairing the craving with healthy food, but you end up eating something that will damage the body. You can act smartly by pairing the desire with something healthy. This will not damage the body and you will feel less guilty about it.
  • A few places or situations are not in your control. Especially when you visit a best friend’s birthday party and you eat a slice of the cake, enjoy the delicious food to the fullest. Not doing this will pile up the feeling in you and you may have trouble in losing weight.
  • Your willpower plays a very important part of the entire process. The situations when you are about to give up can be distracted with some things. Going for a walk for some time can reduce the craving and help divert the mind.
  • The craving or the temptation to eat something is mental and the best thing about the food is, keep it out of sight. People who are dieting have to control those cravings a lot as compared to the non dieting people.

Giving up on weight loss and cravings is easy but if you handle it very carefully, you will overcome it.
