These Urban Farmers Want to Feed the Whole Neighborhood — for Free

In an unused bit of ground beside our apartment complex dumpster my four-year old daughter and I, spent a few minutes every day after work,  and grew over 200 pounds of peas, tomatoes, onions, beans, radishes, spinach, and squash in a three by four meter space. We didn’t get to plant the winter crops.

There was more than enough unused ground that everyone in the complex could have done the same.
