These Travel Photos of Iceland Will Get You Dreaming! {Gallery}

Even before I started blogging, I’ve been admiring travel bloggers and their seemingly magical power to create dreams. All those surreal images of places that I thought only exist in Alice In The Wonderland, how could you not stop everything you’re doing and just be consumed by wanderlust? I’ve been such a lucky cookie to have chatted with some truly inspiring bloggers such as Brooke behind the World of Wanderlust on Lace n Ruffles, this week I let the bright and bubbly travel couple Savi and Vid from Bruised Passports to blow your mind with their dreamy story from the mystical Iceland. Enjoy!

Iceland is a country like no other – it’s everything that a traveler wants from a destination.

Vast expanses of untouched land, volcanic landscapes that make you feel as if you are walking on moon, gorgeous waterfalls at every corner, and sceneries that are only befitting of picture postcards.

Exploring Iceland by car is akin to being let loose in a candy store – one is compelled to stop every five minutes to marvel at what nature has to offer. Sometimes there is no one to be seen for miles – only never ending grasslands and handsome Icelandic horses grazing, and when given a chance, posing for the camera.

Beautiful waterfalls at every corner

Although the lure of the Northern Lights drives many people to Iceland in the winter months, we feel that the perfect time for a road trip in Iceland is summer – Iceland is the land of midnight sun so you can expect to cram more in your day. If it wasn’t for the mild weather and long days, we wouldn’t have experienced half of the things we did.

If we had to pick a few of our favourites from our trip, we’d go for the exhilarating glacier hike, discovering hidden geothermal lava caves, and spending a few days in the northern tip of Iceland in a gorgeous cottage overlooking the ocean and snow capped mountains. You can see more tempting pictures and read more about Iceland here.
