You know that one person in your life that you are so fond of and you know that you have to let them go, but you just can't. It could be a sibling, a friend or a partner. You are always right there by their side encouraging them, lifting up their moods when they are down and just being there when they want you to be.
You also know that you are taken for granted, that they will pull you down. no matter what. They can ruin your day in one sentence. They have that power and you let them have it. Pretty close to what a toxic relationship feels like.
I have had a few friends like that and I have had to let them go in the recent past. Since I had my daughter, I often ask myself "What would I want her to do in this situation?" The answer this time around was I would ask her to let go. Friends are not supposed to pull you down, they are supposed to bring you up. They are not supposed to tell you what you did wrong, they are supposed to let you what you can do to make it right. They should not put you down but be your support system. They should not try and compete with you but make sure both of you become a better version of yourself. So much for relationship dynamics - Sigh!
About today's outfit, I am wearing a Knit Sweater from Marshalls with a crochet skirt and a burgundy moto jacket featured on this blog before. I have accessorized with a striped backpack which I scored from GH Bass & Co, last year and brown ankle boots. I wore it last weekend for one of our shopping escapades.
