THE SHOWS Deadliest Catch
It feels like this season of Deadliest Catch is going on forever. Maybe because I'm STILL waiting for Sig's heart attack? I thought for sure once his daughter got onboard, it was going to happen but all we got last night was a pretty major fire, and loss of power. The Northwestern was dark and dead in the water. All things considered, Sig, the crew and even Mandy were pretty calm. I'd be hysterical, they were cool customers. Over on the Saga, Jake Anderson, my current fave captain, was also having issues with the hydraulics on his boat. He had to head back in to Dutch or someone was going to get hurt. Wild Bill let his son up in the wheelhouse while he headed out on deck for a string and Captain Keith was having trouble finding crab, making him super cranky. So not a good night at all for any of our Captains, but still no heart attack. The suspense is killing me. Sick that I'm waiting for Sig to have a heart attack, right? The heart attack better not be the Season Finale.
Maya & Marty
Some of last nights skits were super horrible and cheesy. Was Lorne paying attention during the skit pitch meeting? There were only 2 good sketches, both featured Jerry Seinfeld. The Comedians in Cars spoof was hilarious but, of course it was Jiminy Glick interviewing Jerry that I'd vote best bit of the night. Here are both clips, check them out:

THE OTHER STUFF
-Hope GMA pays well, Strahan...GMA is part of the ABC News division and the news division doesn't allow it's employees to pitch products, so allllll of Strahan's endorsement deals will have to end as soon as their contracts expire. He won't be legally able to renew them. Walking from Subway, Pizza Hut, Metamucil, Snickers, Dr. Pepper and RIght Guard money has to hurt the wallet. Did the lawyers miss this one? There's no way GMA pays the same or more than all those combined, right? He is allowed tokeep is his clothing line which sells at JC Penney. Karma's a bitch, I bet Kelly's laughing her ass off right now.
-I find it very interesting that Netflix and the CW have such a good relationship that just got better. It's interesting because the CW is part of CBS and CBS is very anti-Netflix. Most of the CBS programming is only available on CBS's All Access platform which you have to pay for. In this new deal, Netflix will continue to have exclusivity for CW shows and the shows will be available on Netflix really fast. 8 days after the Season Finale of a show, Netflix will have the entire season available. This includes all your faves and the new ones too.
-Man, Rob Lowe is LITERALLY always working. Grinder got cancelled, no reason for the wife to worry. He got a gig on Code Black over on CBS just like that. You know I have rules and don't watch anything medical but now, I feel like I have to watch because I love Rob that much. Stay strong Carruba, stay strong. Too many other programs within the rules to stay on track with.
-Nothing at all to do with TV, but I found this very interesting:
For the first 6 months of 2016
On Demand Audio and Video Music Streaming was up 58%
114 billion audio streams vs 95 billion video streams
Audio streams were up 108% YOY
So Pandora and Spotify and the lot beat out YouTube in this category.
