Tempo and meter changes are a notable feature of this performance. Some quick and dirty notes:

We build from the beginning: guitar, bass and symbols; then sax; then vocal at 0:32
2:12 full drum kit kicks in and we start building the instrumental, horns at 2:30
3:01 shift gears, we floating the time
3:21 back to a steady beat, 3:25 change up, 3:42 pounding drive, 3:57 tumbling horns
4:00 Drive!
4:10 sax solo over handclaps and percussion punctuations
5:20 add bass & guitar commping behind sax, 5:39 add horns, another sax in background, building to collective improv
6:35 thins out, sax comes out front again, begin to drag, 7:00 pump it! (drums)
7:10 sax is alone, like Wylie Coyote suspended out over the cliff
7:26 Wham! Horns tumble in, vocalist comes back, and we drive it home
6:44 gear shift
