The Ultimate Girls’ Night In

By Remielund @remsluxuryblog

Summer is coming and while it is slowly warming up around here, you can’t always enjoy the sun if the rain keeps you inside. Gloomy weather is no excuse not to have some fun, and you should never miss the opportunity to get your best friends together for a ladies night in. Even if your friends aren’t up for the challenge of hosting something, you can organize a fun night yourself. It is easier to plan a fun night than you might think, and here are some of the best activities that are easy to include in any night spent indoors.

It is simply amazing how many girls never consider a chocolate buffet as an ordinary part of hanging out with their friends. We all love chocolate, so it should be the most obvious first step to a great time. Okay, a fancy chocolate fountain might be a little over the top, but chocolate fondue is incredibly easy to make and it’s sure to be a hit feature of any party.

It really is as simple as melting your favorite brand of chocolate and dipping delicious treats in it, though you can always add in some cream and other flavors to make it even tastier. A fondue pot isn’t even necessary, I bought one a while back and still haven’t worked out how to use it. While it would help to keep the melted chocolate warm for a longer period of time, a treat like this is sure to disappear fast! Start your night off with chocolate fondue and provide fruit, cake, or even other chocolates for dipping and you’re already sure to impress your guests. Throw in some sprinkles, nuts, or other toppings to let your guests enjoy being really creative with their tasty creations. Yum!

Once you’ve gotten your guests in the creative spirit, move the night right along with some do-it-yourself activities. There are a ton of amazingly straightforward products that can be made at home, such as lip gloss. Combining coconut oil or beeswax with anything you can think of to add color and flavor can make a great lip balm or gloss, and if you go out of your way to get cute containers they can make beautiful gifts as well. Surprise yourself and your friends with just how much fun you have coming up with the most inventive home recipes. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, there are plenty of other things you can make, such as scented candles although they are a bit more difficult to pull off.

If you and your friends love to compete, throw in a couple of games to the mix for some guaranteed fun. There are tons of girls’ night board games on the market, and while many of them can be quite silly, that is all part of the charm. You don’t have to go out of your way to buy a new game, either‚ classic card games like blackjack can be an easy hit at any party. Even for the rare people who do not already know how to play, it is incredibly fast and easy to learn. If you don’t even have a deck of cards, there is no reason to skip out on a game night, Intercasino has online blackjack and a set of rules to make sure everyone knows what she’s doing. I like a flutter but you don’t have to play for money. Play for fun or compete over items like candies and chocolates to get people even more excited!

Of course, nobody knows you and your friends better than you, and whatever you decide to do at a girls’ night in is bound to be great. Even if you all you do is lounge around, drink champers and watch Disney movies, (Frozen, always Frozen) make sure you find time to hang out with your best friends. There is never a bad excuse for a casual night in, and if your friends aren’t organizing anything, you had better do it yourself!
