It’s not TV news, but I’m pretty excited that michael Mann’s next movie is Heat 2. I’m less excited that he’s expressing interest in Adam Driver. part of what made the first film so great was that it put Pacino against DeNiro, and there just really isn’t anyone for Driver to go up against. While I’m unfamiliar with the screenplay, I think you have to go with some kind of pairing that is relative to that experience. The only one I can think of currently is Matt Damon vs Ben Affleck, but I’m sure there’s one out there that is perfect. Colin Farrell vs Brendan Gleeson?
8) Krapopolis (Hulu)
English Audio Description?: No

I’m not sure if this show has quite found its footing, but it does occasionally land jokes. in Episode 3, the strongest joke was the tag at the end about dogs. I thought that was pretty great. I cannot stop thinking about Lazlo Everytime Matt Barry speaks. it’s a problem for me.

Charlie has a hickey that everyone notices. Ben tells Nick he thinks he wants Charlie back. Tao is still dealing with his inner bullshit even as he grows closer to his BFF. And i really think the two teachers are going to fuck before they leave Paris. There’s really no reason to keep referring to them as both of them are stuffy and not main characters.

5) Chucky (Peacock)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Season 3 just started
I’m. Still catching up, so this is the Season 2 starter, which picks up where Season 1 left off, and really tries to stretch the return of Chucky as well as forcing our three teen leads into a new location. The big death in this episode was perhaps the most surprising, since in Season 1 there was a speech by Chucky to the other Chucky’s about not killing kids of a certain age. So, that took me by surprise. Parts of this worked, but other parts felt like it was jamming that square peg into a round hole.

4) Frasier (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: No
Status: Ended
Still the OG Frasier, this one hinges on knowing which parts of conversations that Daphne overhears, but it’s still just one part of a Christmas themed episode cramming a lot of ideas. I would ahve much preferred the audio description, but with the high amount of dialogue, I think it is unlikely to know exactly when Daphne enters and exits without trampling dialog.
Episode Grade: B+
3) Billions (Paramount Plus)
English Audio Description?: Yes
Status: Final Season
I’m almost done with Season 6, which has done a pretty good job of making Chuck to be the villain. He’s gone so hard for prince, despite Prince being nowhere near as bad as Bobby was. I also felt like this season didn’t explain as well as it could have why chuck hates the Olympics. However, Paul Giamatti is giving a tremendous performance this season, highlighted in a scene with the Governor, where he feels like a Cat that already has a mouse in a trap it doesn’t know its in.
