The Szatmar – Beregi Region – Part 2

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

The sunflowers. I don’t think I have ever seen a country with so many sunflowers. During our drive in the Szatmar – Beregi Region Lars and I saw them everywhere. I thought it was easy to photograph them, but the wind kept on moving them and I have to admit that I didn’t trust all those bees very much.

Fields. Pastures. Meadows. Forest. Lakes. Rivers. All unspoiled! Who knows whether this part of Hungary will ever become popular? But no matter what, I am glad we could see all these landscapes and photograph them, without being disturbed by other tourists.

By the way, yesterday I published a couple of pictures of storks. As you can imagine, we hardly see these birds in Brussels. But in the Szatmar – Beregi Region, we saw them in most of the villages. Coincidence or not, but we always noticed the storks when entering and leaving a village. Or maybe it was just our imagination…
