That means no camping. No roughing it.
It was awesome to experience nature but still have the comforts of, well, regular stuff like running water, real bathrooms, and a kitchen.
We went with my in-laws which is always cool (extra eyes and hands on the kiddos). The resort was in Western Virginia about an hour away from Charlotsville. The ride was about 3 hours from where we live so not a bad ride for a weekend summer road trip. We got to see lots of cool sites along the way:
M enjoyed the sights. He loved the view from his window. He go to see construction sites which are his fav right now. (He loves watching the machines from a far, don't even think about him getting close to one).
And even though it was hot as all heck, he still had to have his blanket.
J entertained himself with whatever means he came up with. He's amused rather easily as you can see. After finishing off the goldfish, his bowl became an accessory. I love baby dress up, clothes are optional, and just about everything can be a hat.
