The Summer of Doing Stuff Continues ... Clueless Mom Confession

By Parentingsmh @parentingsmh
When I was featured on Dumb Mom's What's in Your Closet?  I admitted that at thirty (bleep) years old, I still can't swim.  Now, when I say this, I always feel a little embarrassed, which is pretty much not in my nature to begin with, but still the truth.
Well, this summer, I'm putting an end to this tom foolery.
That's right!
Clueless Mom is going to school.  Swim school.
I'm pinning up my locs and walking slowly holding onto the railings jumping in
I can't have the dudes showing me up.  J is already a little water monster and practically a deep sea diver in his own mind.
M, is already taking swim classes.
So, enough is enough.  I'm taking the plunge (figuratively, this is a beginners class after all).  My hair will be heavy and probably take 3 or 4 days to dry, but its worth.
The only thing more embarrassing than admitting I can't swim, is watching the fearless duo here swim laps around me.

No way.  Not gonna happen.
Plus, when we're vacationing in PR this winter, I have no intention on being water shy.
Tell us what age you were when you learned to swim?  What about your kiddos?  I'm curious, are there any late bloomers like me out there?
