Anti-capitalism protests spread around the world

The end of Capitalism? We should be so lucky. Karl Marx is sitting somewhere with a smug look on his face which says, 'I told you so.' Maybe he wasn't so bonkers with his idea of the historical dialectic? The banners in Stockholm read: '"We are the 99%"- a reference to the richest 1% of the world's population who control its assets while billions live in poverty.'(1) Maybe this (see picture above) IS the proletariat revolution? '"There are those who say the system is broke. It's not," trade union activist Bilbo Goransson shouted into a megaphone. "That's how it was built. It is there to make rich people richer."' (2) This sound relevant or familiar to anyone?: "Capitalism according to Marxist theory can no longer sustain the living standards of the population due to its need to compensate for falling rates of profit by driving down wages, cutting social benefits and pursuing military aggression." (3) Roll on the next stage of historical progression, if you ask me. I'm all for a nice communist community spirit in the wake of the fall of bourgeois corruption. Drinks are on everyone!(1 & 2) http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/oct/16/occupy-protests-europe-london-assange?newsfeed=true
