The Storybook cd-rom is a delightfully sweet, digital accompaniment to The Reading Lesson. This optional item contains 40 stories that also appear in the Reading Lesson text. Starting from easy and increasing in complexity, these stories are meant to be read by the child and not played straight from the computer. Unfamiliar words can be clicked upon and some cute animation is shown as well.
Since my 3 year old isn't quite reading, I didn't want him to see too much of this cd-rom. Though I can tell you he thought it was fun and wanted to see more --- but the point is to get HIM to read the words and NOT the computer.
