TV Shows Watched: Where’s Wanda?: S1E77 (Apple Plus) with audio description, American Sports Story: S1E9 (Hulu) with audio description, Bad Sisters: S1E3 (Apple Plus) with audio description, Lioness: S2E3 (Paramount Plus) with audio description, Colin from Accounts: S2E4 (Paramount Plus) with audio description, and Have I got News For You (MAX) no audio description.

Podcasts: None.

YouTube: I cleared my notifications, so i watched way more reviews than I can remember. I’ll give one shoutout to a channel that does a really solid deep dive, and that is Deep Focus Lens (@deepfocuslens). I love her delivery, and she has a nice perspective that is consistent across her reviews.

Movies: Chasing Chasing Amy (Screener) no audio description. look for a review shortly, as this film is currently playing in some theatres.

If I’m talking strictly audio description, there were a few stand out moments as I catch up on Bad Sisters. One was a swimming moment, with things captured from an interesting underwater/above perspective, as you tend to be sometimes under and other times above. there was also a sexting scene I thought was well described, even the moments leading up to it, with a character finding something on a cell phone in a completely non-verbal scene, which later translates into another character trying to get a particular shot.

I can’t believe I’m still watching American Sports Story. It’s not until Ryan Murphy drops two shows almost simultaneously dealing with murderers that you see he overempathizes often too much, and in some concerning ways. I feel like other critics groups will go for American Sports Story and Monsters, but there’s nothing I’m voting for.

I would handily recommend Where’s Wanda, which has been a really unique show with its own flavor, that I sometimes forget is dubbed and international. not always, but the quality isn’t bad, and it is just a well written show that translates so well that I think any audience would enjoy it.
