I did have a conversation with a real human in person today about Agatha All Along, and they explained to me how the “Naked Agatha” segment from the 2nd episode was pulled off. Basically, it’s an audio description fail. We just got a description of her running around naked, with no clarification on that, but the scene is shot so that her bits and pieces are obscured by people holding up objects in frame at just the right time. That is something not mentioned in the audio description. Instead, we blind folk get to imagine Kathryn Hahn running stark naked in a Marvel/Disney show. Fun.

Other than that, Even though this was Season 3 of Heartstopper, I literally forgot chunks of Season 2, so I was struggling with the season premiere to regain footing. Sometimes Netflix gives us a really long “last season….” At the top of a new season, but I don’t know why i didn’t get that. So weird. My episode just went straight in. I never have fully appreciated those recaps until now.

Grotesquery continues to push boundaries, but also really started exploring her family dynamic and alcoholism more. But, this series is so gross. like, if horror fans aren’t watching this right now, what else are you doing with your life? This is a TV show that is going for it in ways no other show has ever gone before. It’s also so weird, and has strong Ryan Murphy vibes. But, a huge round of applause for the audio description team here as they have some really tough stuff to describe, as the gore gets weirder and weirder.
