Woke up this morning to find out that Il Douche has decided to reopen Alcatraz as a functional prison, which I’ve been there, and it is not. So, of course, now I have to watch the Rock. He also likely had the same thought, remembered The Rock, said “why don’t they make them like they used to?”, and then put a 100% tariff on International cinema. I still have no idea what that even means functionally, as to where the tariff would be applied, or how co-productions work.

TV Shows Watched: Jurassic World: Chaos Theory-S3E5 (Netflix) with audio description, Etoile: S1E3 (Amazon) with audio description, The Walking Dead: Dead City: S2E1 (AMC Plus) no audio description, 911: S8E13 (Hulu) with audio description, Grimmsburg: S1E6 (Netflix) with audio description, YOLO: S1E3 and S1E4 (MAX) no audio description, The Last Anniversary: S1E1 (AMC Plus) no audio description, tales of The Underworld: S1E1 (Disney Plus) with audio description, The Pitt: S1E1 (MAX) with audio description, Suits: LA- S1E8 (Peacock) with audio description, Matlock: Season Finale (Paramount Plus) with audio description, The Four Seasons: S1E2 (Netflix)

Best Episode: Etoile- This dancing comedy/drama continues to move me, impress me, and rope me in. I wonder what its Emmy chances are, because I’m not seeing anything i don’t like. I’m locked and loaded for however Amy Sherman paladino can keep this show doing pirouettes. In the third episode, Jack faces off against progress, people who want programs on their cell phones, and who wants to remove his families name from the theater.

Runner Up: Matlock- The season premiere existed in its form because they had a second season renewal far before they shot the finale, so they didn’t need to tie up lose ends. I am worried about the longevity of the show, and extending what was devised to only run for 10 episodes as a plot into a second season. This is how we’ve lost solid freshmen dramas with high concepts, because they don’t know what to do in season 2.

Worth mentioning: Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, Tales of The underworld, the Pitt- that last one may be surprising. I’ve decided to give The Pitt a second chance, as I’m about to vote in some TV awards, and this is a huge contender. It has a better pilot than I remember, introducing characters pretty well. Tales Of The underworld is the new Star Wars animated series that dropped on May The Fourth. And, I always love Chaos Theory.

Best Audio Description- Jurassic World Chaos Theory- I really liked the distinction between the different types of dinosaurs, the adorable way Smoothie walked around town, and the eventual raptor fight. This episode was excellent.

Runner Up: Tales Of The Underworld- This animated Jedi adventure was also really great, and I think this is the first time the top two programs were both animated.

Worth Mentioning: Etoile, The Pitt, and The Four Seasons- I’m pretty sure about Etoile and The Pitt, but The Four Seasons is here just because of everything else, I think it may have given the most. It also benefitted from throwing a lavish wedding ceremony in the second episode, which gives people something to describe.

Best Performance: Luke Kirby (Etoile)- I did really enjoy watching him trying to navigate the whole renaming business, including him eventually having to sue himself. but, the stories he told while walking potential donors through about the Fish family, really were heavy handed. Jack didn’t want to give up so easily.

Runner Up: Jeffrey dean Morgan (The Walking Dead: Dead city)- I really do love how he just steps back into Negan, and how even when his character starts out hungry and broken, he can rally and feel like the guy we met all those years ago that turned Eenie Meenie Miney Moe into a game of death.

Honorable Mentions: Lauren Cohen (The Walking Dead: Dead city), Noah Wylie (The Pitt), and Jenna Ortega (Jurassic World: Chaos Theory)- I believe Ortega is still voicing Brooklyn, as she has since season 1 of camp Cretaceous. i think that’s the reason for why her character has a certain path in chaos Theory, because it made it easier for her to do her voiceovers around her filming schedule.

Best Moment Of Audio Description: the raptor Fight (Chaos Theory)- As I mentioned, this was excellent.

Runner Up: The Jedi fight (Tales Of The Underworld)- There was also a great fight in this show, with the use of the force, dual wielding lightsabers, and moves like Jedi that were all well described.

Worst Of…- AMC Plus for not having audio description for either The Walking dead: Dead City, or The Last Anniversary.
