TV Shows Watched: American Idol: S24E13 (Disney plus) no audio description, beef: S2E3 (Netflix) with audio description, Imperfect Women: S1E3 (Apple) with audio description, 56 Days: S1E5 (Amazon) with audio description, LAst week Tonight: Most Recent (HBO MAX) no audio description yet, and Daredevil: Born Again: s2E6 (Disney Plus) with audio description
American Idol- Kendall should have stayed. I would have cut Chris for his bizarre let it Go, which had pitch issues. I think she wasn’t helped by performing last, and performing the least well known song of the night. I’m also exhausted by Disney night, and ow every year, a country singer inevitably cops out and chooses Life is A Highway, which is not an original song. It was a cover recorded for the film by Rascal Flatts, against a night of original songs from Disney films. Still needs audio description. Jennifer Hudson was great. Keep throwing the shoes.
Beef- Austin is onto something when he thinks the club is spending too much money on Misc, while also not realizing what misc actually means. Josh and Lindsay visit a B&B that has too much happening to be legally called a B&B. Andrew thatcher is doing lovely work on the AD this season.
Imperfect Women- scandal is abound when the affair is made public, and friendships are tested as our leads become fragmented in their case to figure out who killed their friend. The series is fine, but considering the talent involved, my face should be melting off each episode.
56 Days- This twisty thriller certainly had a bit of a surprise for us at the end of the episode, with regard to the identity of the corpse. decent audio description, though I think the ensemble, and time jumping of the show is making it harder to describe. The difficulty is just a bit higher.
Last week Tonight- John Oliver recaps things he missed while away, while also taking down gambling using prediction markets.
Daredevil Born Again- The Jessica Jones episode. She is shoehorned in with the most awkward reintroduction, used briefly, and disappears. That was a waste of time. I hope she appears again, because she references a lot of things that she can’t go into detail in, like how she got a daughter. there’s a cool Kingpin vs Daredevil fight, Blake questions BB, cashman lets Heather get freaky, Mr Charles lurks, and Karen’s intense hate for Bullseye pushes her to a place she’ll regret. The AD here is fantastic. The episode? A mixed bag.
