When I have more time to fully dive into the Oscar nominations, i will in another post. This is just for TV shows, dammit. And, Monarch (Apple Plus), is such an odd duck. Obviously, it is connecting the stories of the films already made with characters that were not in the films, but… why? And will this pay off somehow in Godzilla vs Kong 2? The ground opened up, so we are now all caught up, but are we? And what are we caught up to?

Echo (Disney Plus) dove more into the Indigenous heritage of the character, while also having Maya in a situation where she needs to get out, rescue those she still might care about, and escape before… oh. Kingpin. I still think this show can do a better job of letting us know the ASL vs just translating what might be Indigenous languages since there was a flashback here that ASL would not have made sense in.

The Brothers Sun (Netflix) is getting better and more interesting with each episode. That’s always a good sign. It doesn’t hide its violence, and the audio description doesn’t either. I don’t know or understand what was happening to that skull, and I’m not sure I want to know. Did they melt the face off to get to just the bone somehow? I would never eat in her kitchen.

And finally, bookie (MAX) saw the boys inherit the book. But, when someone else tries to power move on them, they come up with an interesting way of putting that to rest.
