The Sidekick Series

By David13676 @dogspired

The Sidekick Series is a short web-documentary series that features adopted pets and their humans. Its mission is to raise awareness for animal adoption and encourage all pet-seekers to rescue/adopt. In two to three minutes segments they tell a meaningful and adorable story about a cat or dog, how they came to be adopted by their owners, and what their life is like now.

Hans Gruber, the wiener-dog mix from down south, stars in the second episode of The Sidekick Series – a web documentary series featuring adopted dogs and cats and their humans. By sharing his heartwarming and meaningful story, The Sidekick Series hopes to inspire others to adopt.

Hans was originally found in Georgia after having been shot and left on the side of the road to die. Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, a New York-based dog rescue, saved him from these harrowing circumstances and transported him north where he found his forever family in Suzanna and Ben! Now he has a canine brother whom he adores, he gets to play in Prospect Park regularly and he just loves to snuggle with his humans.

Watch his story here, subscribe to The Sidekick Series on YouTube and share to spread the word about the importance of animal rescue.
