Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival has arrived in Brisbane bringing with it a series of events guaranteed to make any fashion lover's heart sing (and bank account weep).
I have a full week of events, with plans to attend all four evening shows, as well as the Bonita Kaftans launch on Thursday, and the Brisbane Arcade Spring Collection Runway Show and Cocktail Party on Saturday night.
But before I share some snaps from today's QueensPlaza High Tea and Fashion Trends event-including a couple of makeup and hair tips that I picked up from Napoleon and Lianna Perdis and Megan Johnson of Mi Color, I wanted to show off tonight's dress in all its glory.
Tonight's Pacific Fair Fashion Show at Old Goverment House, includes a covetable line-up of new-season fashions by Australian and International fashion brands, including: AJE, David Jones, Michael Kors, MYER, Sandro Paris, Tiffany & Co, and more.
Remember when I appeared on the Pacific Fair podcast, Two Girls and Nothing To Wear earlier this year? Both Yvette and Violet will also be at tonight's event.
When it came to choosing a dress for tonight's event, I couldn't go past I this divine Rosario Luxe Robe Gown from Swankstore. It's been hanging in my room for weeks in anticipation for this week.
New for Spring/Summer, the Rosario collection was inspired by the colours and textures of an old English rose garden, and each piece also features semi-precious stone embellishments.
But what I love most is that each Luxe Robe Gown, which is $389, is made from six metres of silk fabric, making it so luxurious and swishy. It also features a series of buttons allowing it to be worn as a cross over dress; a front button dress or open like a robe or flowing jacket.
Tonight, I've paired it with my metallic rose gold Nine West heels, gold bangles from Colette by Colette Hayman, and turquoise tassels earrings that were $3 at Kmart.
