The Pull List: Must Read Comics of 10/24/2012

Posted on the 25 October 2012 by House Of Geekery @houseofgeekery

Batman Incorporated #4

By: Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham

Publisher: DC Comics

Price: $2.99

The Lowdown: I feel like it has been forever since an issue of Batman Inc had come out. Finally, we get an issue, and this one is focusing on Wingman and his sidekick, Redbird, the Swedish members of Batman Inc.

Justice League Dark #13

By: Jeff Lemire, Mikel Janin, and Ryan Sook

Publisher: DC Comics

Price: $2.99

The Lowdown: With news that Lemire’s Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE is being cancelled, I feel like I should pump this book a little. Maybe get some people to start reading. There newest development is that The House of Mystery and the House of Secrets now actually exist in the DC universe as cosmic haunted houses instead of just old school horror anthologies.

Talon #1

By: Scott Snyder and Guillem March

Publisher: DC Comics

Price: $2.99

The Lowdown: This is Snyder’s new book spinning out of his “Night of the Owls” story arc of Batman. It follows escape artist, Calvin Rose, as he tries to run away from his destiny as a Talon assassin. If it is as consistent as American Vampire and Batman, this should be another great title.

Alan Robert Killogy #1 (of 4)

By: Alan Robert

Publisher: IDW Publishing

Price: $3.99

The Lowdown: This is IDW’s newest title that sounds like it will be a prison gladiator story where killer inmates are forced to fight each other. The 3 main characters are drawn to look like The Sopranos’ Frank Vincent, The Ramones’ Marky Ramone, and Heroes’ Bea Grant.

Captain America #19

By: Ed Brubaker, Scot Eaton, and Steve Epting

Publisher: Marvel Comics

Price: $3.99

The Lowdown: This is the final issue of Brubaker’s most recent EPIC run on Captain America. They are shipping this title off for the Marvel Now! renumbering.

FF #23

By: Jonathan Hickman, Nick Dragotta, and Ryan Stegman

Publisher: Marvel Comics

Price: $2.99

The Lowdown: The end of the FF title after Jonathan Hickman’s great run. This is another title being replaced with a Marvel Now renumbering.

Punisher War Zone #1 (of 5)

By: Greg Rucka and Marco Chacchetto

Publisher: Marvel Comics

Price: $2.99

The Lowdown: It is The Punisher vs. The Avengers. ‘Nuff said. This is what the newest Punisher book has been working toward. This is really the series that The Punisher’s entire existence has been working toward.
