Must read comics of the week
Batman Eternal #31
The team up of the century, Alfred Pennyworth, butler extraordinaire, stuck in Arkham after being attacked by Hush, and Bane, the venom-ed up muscle man for hire. Last issue, Arkham went up in smoke, and the two will have to rely on each other to get through the mayhem together.
Death of Wolverine: Weapon X #1
There will be multiple Death of Wolverine tie ins for awhile. Nature of the game I guess. The Weapon X program is definitely something I always like seeing rehashed. As a premise, I think it is very interesting, and it has never quite had a great closure point (something else I would really like to see when it comes to Weapon X).
Hulk #8
I am loving the new direction of the Hulk. If you haven’t been paying attention: Hulk is smart and calling himself Doc Green. He sees gamma irradiated super-beings as being a detriment to the future, weapons of mass destruction that must be cured. He has an antidote and is currently hunting down each of his allies and villains. A-Bomb and Skarr are fixed, Red She-Hulk is next on the hit list.
Humans #1
There is something awesome about a biker gang of apes who take the name Humans as their club name. There are so many out there named after animals, it only seems right.
Nailbiter #7
Writer Brian Michael Bendis cameoes in this month’s Nailbiter. Apparently, he comes to the home of the serial killers to do research on an upcoming story.
