It’s been ten short years since The Postal Service released their one and only full-length album, Give Up. While it feels as if only a few months have passed, it was clear on Friday night just how many people that album has touched over the last decade. Complete with all original members — Ben Gibbard, Jenny Jewis, Jimmy Tamborello — and the additional of The Mynabirds’ Laura Burhenn, The Postal Service triumphantly took the stage for night one of two at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. This wasn’t just any concert, it was the sort of show that people, nearly everyone in attendance, was freaking out about (including me). They played each and every song you could have ever wished for and exceeded every expectation I had for the show. It was truly a magical night. Photos from the set, taken by yours truly, below!
