Usually for Valentines Day you can find my husband and I planning something special; a lovely meal out, a night away or fun day trip. This year with the addition of our 6 month old baby girl instead we will be planning the perfect night in! So when Steamer Trading got in touch about some of their great products geared towards a romantic night in I wanted to hear more!
For us, a romantic night in usually includes a lovely home cooked meal, a bottle of something sparkly and a yummy treat for dessert! This year I’m planning on convincing Lee to cook me some scallops (my favourite!) and then I’ll promise to take care of the pudding!
We will probably start with a glass of bubbly or a G&T with these cute heart shaped ice cubes!
My top tip here pop a few drops of food colouring into the water that you pour into the tray and you get lovely pastel coloured ice cubes. I’ve used purple but a few drops of red would perfect for valentines!
And of course some bread to nibble on while those scallops cook is a must!
Get a few candles burning like this Moroccan Rose and pop a RomCom on the TV and settle in for an evening on the sofa!
If you really want to impress for dessert – why not try your own very own chocolate fondue. It’s great fun, and you could even feed each other chocolate coated strawberries and marshmallows.
Steamer Trading really do have all the ingredients for a perfect night in, and if I’m lucky enough, maybe I will even get breakfast in bed the next morning!
